The Journey
The Journey is a simple idea what if you could capture an entire adventure using nothing but the native camera appon an iPhone 17 Pro Max? No ND filters. No color grading. Just pure natural light, handheld with a touch of stabilization. Come along for a cinematic ride across Vancouver, British Columbia a place where nature and city life blend into something unforgettable.
The film starts in North Vancouver, surrounded by mountains and mist. From there, the path leads into Stanley Park, one of the world’s greatest urban forests.
While filming, I came face-to-face with a bald eagle closer than I’ve ever been. He was perched in front of me eating a seagull he had just caught… and he didn’t care that I was standing there recording the moment. It was raw, untamed, and absolutely epic nature happening right in front of the lens.
Next stop: Spanish Banks, Vancouver’s iconic sandy beach where the shoreline stretches endlessly toward the Pacific. In a spot locals call Rabbit Corner you’ll find adorable wild rabbits hopping through the grass, living their best beach lives. They add a surprising and charming twist to the film’s narrative.
Finally, the journey ends in Southlands, a quiet and beautiful equestrian community. With horse stables, riding schools, and open green farmland, it feels like stepping into a country retreat yet still inside the city.
The fall colors, the animals, and the soft natural light created a calm final chapter to this day of exploration.
